Mattias Adolfsson

I've been in an artsy mood these past few days, being more inclined to sift through art blogs rather than style blogs. This happens every time I feel a bit skewed by life - I sit down with my painting/drawing/collage. This is why I'm sharing one of my favourite artists/illustrators, Mattias Adolfsson (who has a blogspot, so can be followed). I really can't remember how I discovered his work, it must have been about 3/4 years ago, when I first began doing art for myself and not just for school, although I have to admit I've used him for every art project I could, as I had an insatiable need for originality, and nobody had ever heard of him, which was great for me. There are so many more images than the ones I've picked, I just tried to show off all the different ways he draws. If I could try and describe it, I would say often beautiful, but also grotesque, comical, daunting and intricate. Adolfsson also introduced me to the wonderful ways of the Moleskine, and I've never looked back.
